Stages of education

General education (preschool) – this stage is very important for children from two to five years old, because the main emphasis is on teaching discipline and socialization in society. This helps to prepare the child for school.

In addition, in British kindergartens, children learn to read, draw, write, they are trying to develop them in every possible way in creative directions. Unlike Russian kindergartens, the groups are much smaller, so it is easier to find an individual approach for each child.

Secondary school education for children is divided into several main periods:

  1. From 6 to 11 years of primary education. During this period, children are taught English, mathematics, basic history, geography, as well as the development of thinking and creativity. All subjects during this period are strictly mandatory, but their variability changes with the transition of the child to another stage of learning.
  2. From the age of 11 to 14, the time of middle classes comes in the life of a schoolboy. Sciences such as chemistry, physics and biology are added to the main subjects. The rest are at the discretion of the students and their parents. They make an independent choice in favor of one or another academic discipline, depending on their preferences and hobbies.
  3. At the age of 14 to 16, preparation begins for a mandatory exam for all students to certify the acquired secondary educational knowledge.
  4. 16 – 18 years old. For these two years, those students who intend to continue to enter a higher educational institution remain. They are being prepared for the exams for admission to the university in the subjects they have chosen.

If a student wants to start working as soon as possible, then he leaves school after the age of 16 and goes to receive a special technical education. At school, the year is divided into 3 parts, each of which lasts 12 weeks. At this stage, the task of teachers is not only to give the child knowledge, but also to help him decide who he wants to become in the future.
